A fascinating look at how Buxton has changed over the years. Local photographer Keith Jones attempts to reproduce contemporary versions of pictures from the past 100 years, standing (where possible) in the same spot the that photographer stood all those years ago.

Purchasing photographs

Many of the pictures featured are available as high quality prints on photographic paper. If you would like a print of a particular picture please contact us. Some pictures are unavailable, due to copyright reasons.

To start you off, here's a rare Mitchell and Kenyon film from the British Film Insitute of the Buxton skyline as it was in 1901. It doesn't look that much different today but there are notable exceptions - see if you can spot them!
